When will You Going to Learn that Hold em Poker is About Seating!

I have been wagering poker now for about five years, I’ve bet cards my entire life beginning with games of Gin Rummy for pennies with my Grand Mother, to all of the various forms of Brag and basic random games such as Go Fish, Crash and one so beautifully called, card on head casino game. I used to often win, whatever game we were wagering and even though I liked to call it skill, it was quite difficult to justify considering the randomness of the games we were playing, so I was happy to accept I was having an extended run of luck.

Then came Poker, or far more importantly Texas hold’em Poker, made popular by a bunch of Texas card gamblers in the 1960’s and since developed into one of the largest card phenomena ever experienced. Poker is totally the new black, it truly is uber cool with quite a few of the world’s leading superstars racing to have their name associated with it. Just a quick flick through the TV channels these days and you’ll be able to not escape from poker, and needless to say there is the fabled World Series of Poker, the Holy Grail and Mecca all rolled into one for every single player.

So with all of this new found popularity, with so many Television programmes devoted to poker, and magazine and book shelves filled up with quality material written by the foremost minds on poker, when are folks going to learn that this casino game is all about position!?

Perhaps I must not have so worked up about this, after all the far more folks who struggle with the subtle techniques and approaches needed for succeeding regularly at Texas holdem, the better it can be for everyone else, appropriate? I mean, if they can not be bothered to read all of the accessible data about why position is so significant, why need to we bother? We really should just be happy there is another fish at the table!

It is true, we really should not reward idleness with guidance and assist. On the other hand, I liken this to a helpful casino game of football. Granted the levels aren’t so great, but when you see a player struggling, you guide them, offer them a few advice, ultimately showing them a way to like, like and appreciate the casino game as much as you. I’m calling on all house gamblers to do exactly the same thing with their poker buddies who have not quite grasped the subtleties of wagering position. Help them to grow their respect for the casino game. Certainly, do not attempt to try this one in your neighborhood gambling house, the sharks won’t appreciate you teaching their lunch how to swim!
