Online High Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Monday, 11. April 2022

Gus Hansen enjoyed a wonderful year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only player to make it to the closing game in 3 of the competitions. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he paid $400, 000 to play. You might remember one of the biggest pots in big stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen won a big pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Gus has earned many tv poker appearances and is thought to be one of the strongest enthusiasts anywhere in the world. While playing net poker, a different side of Hansen has been seen. He regularly plays in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy in of $40, 000. Hansen more often than not buys in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very poorly. He waits patiently for a good hand and then goes all-in. I know Hansen is an excellent poker player but not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is penniless, he has little or no reason to play at the table with the min buy-in.

Playing for the minimum takes almost all of the ability out of big stack poker. Gus is presumed to be 1 of the best poker players in the world but he can’t buy-in for the full amt.. I think television can alter our view of the real world at times. The greatest poker players in the world might be players you have will not have heard of. Gus can be seen participating in net poker on Full Tilt. He commonly plays in high stakes Omaha and hold’em. Gus Hansen has proven himself as a competition player. Can he back up his abilities in money games?
