Net Big Stakes Poker- Who is Gus Hansen?
Saturday, 14. December 2024
Gus Hansen enjoyed a wonderful year on the WPT where he was the only gambler to make it to the last poker table in 3 of the events. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may recall one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Gus secured a massive pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has earned many televised poker appearances and is considered to be one of the best gamblers around the world. While participating in online poker, a different side of Hansen has appeared. Gus frequently plays in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Gus frequently buys in for the minimum of $16, 000 and plays very poorly. He waits for a good hand and then goes all-in. I believe Gus is an excellent poker player but certainly not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is flat broke, he has little or no reason to settle at the game with the min buy in.
Buying in for the min takes a majority of the expertise out of deep stack poker. Hansen is presumed to be one of the greatest poker players anywhere in the world but he can’t buy in for the total amt.. I believe tv can alter our perception of the real world sometimes. The best poker players in the world might just be players you have won’t have heard about. Gus can be seen competing in internet poker on Full Tilt. He normally plays in high stakes omaha high and texas hold’em. Gus has shown himself as a tournament player. Can he back up his talents in money games?
