Phil Ivey has been referred to as the number one poker contender on the planet by most of the top pros. He was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to Jersey before reaching the age of one. At the last table he destroyed many of the better known professionals which includes "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

He made a decision to take his skills to the next level and moved out west to Sin City. Phil continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Phil credits his success to dedication and an eternal love for poker. Phil states that he is learning every day and is quite abashed about his success. He knows he makes errors every single game of poker and always strives to get better.

Even though Ivey has come first in some big tournaments, he prefers winning cash games on a regular basis.
