Annie Duke mightn’t have won her first World Series of Poker Bracelet until 2004 but Annie remains one of the most feared poker competitors around the ring games at The Bellagio in Vegas. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP win came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While players from the "young crowd" of poker go berserk following a big success at the tables, Annie heads home to be "mommy" to her four children. She was born in NH and grew up in a family of poker players. If you do not accept that, watch her sibling, Howard Lederer, when he plays, who taught her how-to compete in the game.

However, Annie Duke is not a small fry kind of girl and has captured her cut of difficult games, which includes eliminating Howard a few times on several occasions.

Earning over 3 million dollars in tournament play, Annie branched out to become a advisor to both UltimateBet.com and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to develop his techniques to become a big player in poker.

You might just glimpse her at the Bellagio, you’ll catch her on television and you may even compete against her in an online poker game, but don’t count on a simple win. Unless you’re a rising star, you won’t defeat her. although, it would be fun to say you sat at the same table as "The Duke".
