Omaha Hi Lo: Basic Outline

Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha/8 or better) is frequently seen as one of the most difficult but well-loved poker games. It’s a variation that, even more than normal Omaha poker, invites action from every level of players. This is the primary reason why a once obscure game, has increased in popularity so quickly.
Omaha hi low begins like a regular game of Omaha. Four cards are dealt to every player. A round of betting follows where players can bet, check, or fold. Three cards are dealt out, this is referred to as the flop. One more sequence of betting happens. After all the gamblers have either called or folded, another card is revealed on the turn. a further round of wagering follows at which point the river card is flipped. The entrants will need to make the strongest high and low 5 card hands using the board and hole cards.
This is where many entrants get flustered. Contrasted to Texas Holdem, where the board can be everyone’s hand, in Omaha hi/lo the player has to utilize precisely 3 cards from the board, and precisely two hole cards. Not a single card more, not a single card less. Unlike normal Omaha, there are two ways a pot might be won: the "high hand" or the "low hand."

The lower hand is any five card hand (unpaired) with an eight and smaller. The lower hand takes half of the pot, as does the high hand. When there is no lower hand presented, the high hand takes the entire pot.
It may seem difficult at the outset, after a few hands you will be able to get the fundamental nuances of play with ease. Since you have players betting for the low and betting for the high, and seeing as such a large number of cards are being used at the same time, Omaha hi/lo offers an overwhelming assortment of wagering choices and seeing that you have numerous individuals shooting for the high hand, along with several shooting for the low hand.
