Although the game possibly was conceived in China in 1120 A.D., not a soul knows definitely when the game derived, however we comprehend that when Columbus landed on US shores in 1492, his men obtained wide leaves from trees, marked them with pictures, and had fun playing cards. Gus Hansen enjoyed a marvelous year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only player to make it to the last game in 3 of the events. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You might recall one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker history against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen raked in a huge pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Gus has earned many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the strongest players anywhere in the world. While playing internet poker, another side of Hansen has been seen. He often participates in the 200/400 NL max buy in of $40, 000. Hansen more often than not buys-in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very poorly. He sits there waiting for a good hand and then goes all in. I accept that Gus is an outstanding poker player but certainly not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is flat broke, he has little or no reason to sit at the game with the min buy-in.
Playing for the min takes a majority of the skill out of deep stack poker. Hansen is presumed to be 1 of the best players in the world but he can’t buy-in for the total amt.. I think tv can alter our perception of the real world every now and then. The greatest poker players in the world might just be guys you have will not have heard of before. Gus can be found playing online poker on Full Tilt. He commonly plays in high stakes omaha eight-or-better and hold’em. Gus Hansen has proven himself as a competition player. Can he back up his skills in cash rounds?
